AZERBAIJAN
Meridian is a partner on the
Azerbaijan Associate Award of the
ACQUIRE Project. The project, funded by the
United States Agency for International
Development (USAID), and in collaboration with
the Azeri Ministry of Health, encompasses a new reproductive
health program in Azerbaijan, at both the national and the
district level. The project will aim to educate Azeri women
and men about reproductive health and family planning, build
an accessible network of reproductive health services, train
providers, help improve the quality of services, and
increase the available array of contraceptive methods.
Meridian’s in-country key personnel is responsible for
creating effective RH/FP BCC campaigns to be implemented at
the district level by using community groups and peer
educators. The communications plan also includes messages
for providers, program managers, policy makers as well as
mass media TV campaign. Marketing and advertising campaigns
educate Azeri people about their family planning and
reproductive health options, availability of services and
facilities at every level and assist awareness of the
services to the communities.

Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA),
and
IntraHealth International.
