Strategies (CMS)
Meridian was subcontractor to
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu on a
major global initiative funded by
USAID's Center for
Population, Health and Nutrition
entitled Commercial Market Strategies
(CMS). The purpose of CMS was to increase the use
of quality family planning and other health products and
services through private sector partners and commercial
strategies.
Meridian's role in the USAID contract was to
spearhead development of innovative public/private sector
partnerships that address unmet health needs on a
sustainable basis. Meridian helped design and facilitate
partnership agreements across a wide range of business
categories, identifying opportunities for commercially
beneficial social marketing projects.
In addition, Meridian's role was to provide
technical assistance in project communication activities
including mass media, public relations, media training,
community-based programs and trade and consumer promotion
activities.
