ACQUIRE
Meridian is a partner on the Access, Quality and Use
in Reproductive Health Activity (ACQUIRE) project by the
United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The mandate of the five-year project, which was launched on
October 1, 2003, is to improve family planning and
reproductive health services in clinics and hospitals in many
of the 60 countries where USAID operates.
Other partners on the ACQUIRE project
include EngenderHealth (Prime), the
Adventist Development and
Relief Agency (ADRA), CARE,
IntraHealth International, and the
Society for Women and AIDS in Africa (SWAA).
Meridian's role is to help promote
family planning and reproductive health products and services among target
populations. Strategic approaches include facility-based
promotion, marketing campaigns to promote services, provider
networks, male involvement, and specific family planning methods.
