Social Marketing of services aims 1) to improve and expand
geographic networks of service delivery points (SDPs) that
offer a basic range of high quality health services and 2) to improve the health-seeking behavior of those living in
the developing world.
Meridian staff have promoted networks of SDPs in developing
countries by helping create/promote linkages between
private sector doctors and midwives in small communities
with larger clinics/hospitals and with referral systems
among service sites and between services.
Meridian's approach to Social Marketing of Services usually
includes network branding, promotion and advertising of
available services as well as assuring training, counseling,
and monitoring of the network services so that quality of
care improves and demand increases. |
